| I probably won't go this year, mainly since I doubt I'll have anything finished in time for the contest, although it would be fun to meet everyone again. Maybe if I can find a relatively cheap place to stay in Birmingham. | |

| I wish I could go to UK GD, but it my best friend scheduled his wedding for the end of September and I'm the best man so I probably shouldn't skip out on it. And with everything else going on to help prepare for the thing, I doubt I'll have the time or energy for UK this year. Everyone feel free to send hate mail to my friend for his piss poor timing | |

| @Seb : Still plenty of time left to get something done . Maybe you can figure something out with Sven or one of the CMONers when the meet up gets decided for accomodations? @Eric : Too bad. But have fun at the wedding . | |

| Ericj: Sorry you can't make it this year. But it just means that the French can win. As always I'll be there, and I'm brushing up on my Grammar School French to welcome Cedric & Valerie and to embarrass myself. Seb: You have plenty of time. | |

Would this friend be totally against re-locating the wedding to, say, Birmingham, UK? Well, I'm not going either. I'd rather save the money in order to visit some independent event (not necessarily as big, just not a company-specific one).

| well, I'm not 100% out of UK, it depends on when it is though, so if they happen to push it back to mid Oct, or early Sept, then it's a possibility, but I think for now I'm just going to shift my focus to Chicago instead. It is too bad though, there are a TON of people going to the UK event I'd love to meet. | |

| 95% chance that I'll be going. I do need some cheap place to stay though. If I'm not travelling with Elin that is.. in that case we'll do it as a part of a trip and I might just stay in birmingham over the day.
Started one entry! I'll show you wips as soon as I have something to show.

| Does anybody know when the tickets go on sale? @Sven : Valérie and I might stay a few days in Canterbury or London to visit a bit before. If Elin and you want to meet up, it'll be with pleasure . | |

| Sure , but nothing is set though. We might not even travel in UK in that case.. just make it one of our stops. | |

| As per my normal habit I'll be travelling down on the coach from Bolton. Tickets for Gamesday generally go on sale in July for White Dwarf subscribers and August for the non-subscribers. Cedric do you want me to get your tickets in advance when they go on subscriber release? | |

| That would be very kind of you Mike . Just tell me when they start selling them and I'll PayPal you the amount with shipping fee if that's OK with you. | |

| yeah, the announced date is exactly wrong for me, I can't wait for 2007 though, I have this one idea in my head that just won't work for a US GD, so it'll have to be for UK, and I'm REALLY excited about it.
Have fun everyone, can't wait to see the development of your entries

| This is really bad, but it seems like I won't be able to make it to UK GD this year. And the worst part is, I will be in London at that time!!! There is, however, a tiny chance that I might be able to make it, but I will only find out on Sept 23, when there will be no tickets available... I'm rather upset, I must confess... | |

| @Margo : Things are probably different for GD UK, but at GD FR, Jérémie Bonnamant (who was one of the judges) was given a certain amount of "invitation" tickets to hand out. You're fairely known in the hobby; couldn't you get in touch with somebody from GW that you know ... say Anja ... and see if that person can't get you a ticket? In the worst case, they could at least get hold of a ticket and you could pay it on the 24th if you come. It seems that at GD UK, they never sell all the tickets unlike GD FR. Just a thought . | |

| Cédric, I'm not sure I can ask for such a favour... I guess I'll just have to buy that one ticket and see if I can go or if it's a waste of money. But then again, I'm going to have to sign up for the coach travelling from London to Birmingham in advance. Uh, this is rather complicated, I wish I knew for sure! | |

| @Margo : OK, I understand. @Others : Who's up for some speed painting? Valérie keeps asking me about it . Oh and maybe we could do what Mike suggested on CMON : we all paint a quick mini to compare at the meet up . | |

| For the speed painting, I was thinking more of the "mini in 10 minutes" . It can be fun if we all get to paint at the same time (at least it was fun with Sanjay and Shilpa). "Tag your IT", sorry, didn't quite get that . I was thinking of a Rackham mini (just for kicks ). Maybe something from the Cadwallon line : or or one of these three If you have problems getting Rackham minis, please say so; we can always paint a GW one. | |

| Here are two other Cadwallon minis that just came out : Is anybody interested by this idea? If so, it'd be nice to choose a mini now because the GD entries are going to take quite some time too . | |

| Cedric: The second picture is intriguing. Any idea when the miniature will be out? (or even a preview?) And the chosen concept is good. | |

| OK, Mike and I chose Vostroyens (as it being "the latest thing" from GW and I'm sure we can work a bit of characte into them; plus they are sold in blisters ). Here are the "blanks" I pomissed Mike : Guard : Officer : I discussed colors already with Mike, but if some of you want to have fun coming up with color themes, feel free. We're open to ideas. Oh, and NMM is imposed . | |
