Ravage Mix Open 2007

Who's going?

With the mariage and the new appartement in preparation I managed to negociate this convention for this year. Any more wouldn't be reasonable .

I know of one or 2 people here who are planning on coming but prefer to let them announce it.

In any case, would anybody who plans on coming agree to painting a simple mini specialy for the convention? Let me be clearer on this : no auction or group painting thing. Just everybody paints the same mini for fun and without WIP shots. We then compare them at the convention and if everybody is OK, exchange them randomly after the show.

Anybody game for this or a variant?

I'll try to go.. depends on the dates. And on my economy... It would be great fun..

With the mini-exchange.. sure...

I plan on going and my girlfriend is in on it! We're combining it with a mini-vacation in Paris, so it's not just a trip for the show.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind the mini exchange/comparison thing, as long as it's a reasonably fun mini to paint! Any suggestions?

I already have the pumpkin pixies, so that would be a good choice.

BTW, Cédric, do you know the date for the competition? Has it been decided yet?

Valérie has them too and I think I could manage to have her part from one .

The dwarfs are cool too, plenty of character.

I looked it up before starting this thread but unfortunately didn't find any info. As soon as I hear about it I'll post it here .

@Cedric: Love that one too.. damn Rackham making all these lovely sculpts.. difficult to choose from!

That one is cool too (and I have it), but it's pretty fiddly to assemble, and I for one would rather not bring that particular one all the way to France. There's small parts that can't be pinned on it.

For me it doesn't matter! I love all three of them!

Yeah they are all very nice! I'll paint all of them probably so it doesn't matter for me...

May I suggest the one with the bottle, then? I think he is the one of the three who works best on his own, or perhaps the other two works well as a pair (and I have a diorama in mind for them ) whereas the third one doesn't really fit in there.

BtW, if any of you plan on staying a few days and plan on doing things a bit less "cultural" than visiting the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower ... say like go to Euro Disney or the Asterix Parc, say so, sometimes Valérie finds great deals on the prices to enter the parcs; but it has to be taken in advance.
