| New thread... Right now I'm planning for diorama, single 40k, monster 40k and lotr single. Might add a regiment too as I'm starting to build a warhammer army.. I think I won't have time for my single fantasy idea as it is a full sculpt. the diorama won't be that large. I'll buy some esher gangers and build some kind of setting. Might be a bit of convertion work though as I'm planning that one girl will be sitting down while another will be leaning against a wall. single 40k entry will be a callidus assassin http://www.blacklibrary.com/freestuff/wallpapers1/papers/harlequin1024.jpgthis was the convertion that melted... but I will probably have to sculpt most of it myself instead as the pose is so.. natural. The head will be a great challenge. monster 40k will be a demon prince.. lotr single... not sure yet. have several to choose from. Will probably paint two and take the best one. Sven | |

| the callidus assassin is in a dire avenger aspect as you can see.. I think she's called Meh'lindl in the books. I have found the right miniature for inspiration on the pose though: Ysis the ViperI will do some slight editing to the pose both in respect to Ysis and the drawing. Mights start a WIP thread when I do the armature. Now I'm off to buy Ysis! | |

| So is Ysis for reference material or for armature? | |

| Reference of course Else I risk being DQ'd @Anders: they didn't have it in store so my next mini investment have to wait a couple of days. enough minis? allow me to laugh... (or at least move my upperlip in some kind of motion while smiling) | |

| yeah, seems like the perfect pose. I bet you could get away with using her as an armature, although with the work it looks like you're going to put into it, probably the fear of DQ'd is good to avoid. | |

| hmm... well maybe. I'll see if the size is correct. If I file away all the details, repose her slightly, no one might notice But I'm not sure I like to do that.. enough GD controversies going on for me to start one myself! But it would save a lot of work.... | |

| At first I thought, go for it, nobody would have guessed. But then I remembered one important factor : scale. She's a full head taller than a usual GW mini if I recal correctly. | |

| I think so too.. I could of course enter her in open instead, but no. I'll try to do it myself and if it turns out bad, it will still be a great exercise. But I don't think I will be dropping her before I get it to look decent even if I have to redo her completely several times... I will photograph the process and will probably have to do at least 2-3 tries on the armature to get it right. That's what I'm planning for at least. So I'll need som critique | |
