| I've got a long term side-project planned for the up coming months based on Dark Angels.
I've planned on making special bases based both on ruined temples and Natif American Indians.
Any thought on the subject?

| Small squads (HQ, tactical, and devestator) and a Commander.
The commander and HQ will be getting freehand on the robes, while the others will be 7/CMON jobs. Nothing over the top actually. It's more a project for the bases. I've already started a series of 40mm bases with gothic/tech themes, and am looking for ideas for the 25 mm bases.
Other ideas came to mind : demon skulls, rats, swords, ...

| wait, are you looking to do moulded bases to sell? And want to show them off, or just for yourself?
I'm guessing you're trying to avoid GW icons?

| Yes and no. Since a few months now, if a base is castable, I systematically make a resin copy of it. But I hardly have the time and energy to start a business in that domain (plus the Polish are fierce with their prices ). On the other hand, if you want a few copies, I'll be happy to send you some for free; Arthur took a few at Lugdunum and he seemed to appreciate them. And yes, I'm looking for non-GWish specific ideas. An angel with a sword can pass, but the DA motif won't . | |

| thanks for the offer, I have to admit, bases are not my favorite part of the process, so shortcuts are nice I'll think on ideas, and let you know if anything comes to mind...too bad I just admited base ideas were my weak point | |

| LOL . I really need to get some pics taken of the already casted bases. There's stuff like dungeon bases (with chain and stone tiles) (on premium base), sewer bases (on premium base), demonic invocation base with pentacle (on premium base), river-forest base (GW), zen garden base (on 50mm premium base), ... and 5 GW 40mm bases with a tech-temple theme. | |

| Paintwise, I'm a bit undecided : 1) Classic Dark Angels; 2) Disciples of Caliban (backpack, arms, upper legs, feet, and lower torso in black; head, upper torso, shoulders, lower legs in dark green; white markings with a prancing lion holding a sword; noble and lots of motor bikes); 3) Consecrators (black with red markings; lots of relics). The DAs are the easiest to paint IMHO. The DCs offer the most painting possibilities, but their marking is a pain. The Cs are easy to paint except for their marking (a real pain); they also have a lot of conversion possibilities. And depending on if I manage to paint them all while in Paris (yes the evenings are long ) they'll end up on eBay; so I'm kind of worried about doing something else than a classic Chapter. Thoughts? | |

| yeah, if you're planning to sell them, doing the other chapters will cut WAY down on your potential buyers | |

| OK, and I figure I should paint all the squads before selling them together. Like sell seperate squads but during the same interval of time? | |
