| Cheers folks.......right now he's a pure experiment to see whats possible (and I've seen virtually no repaints of this stuff at all, just one or two).
rather than do a squad I'd probably try different colour combinations......and the more time I spend on this one, the more annoying I find his pose! Some of the future figures have more character to them.....

| Any plan on doing a night operations variant? A black uniform and armor with green glass night-vision goggles would be cool IMHO. | |

| Now that's an idea.......I'd seen a version like that on a photo from a show, and it looked real good
I'm assembling this one now, and will post some new pics soon.
I have a test figure for a new range coming my way very soon, so that will take priority (and i'm excited about it!!!) Never done a real commercial piece before........

| and the prize goes to.....Anders!
It's just one of the early castings as a trial piece initially and see how they like it. They're 36mm and nicely proportioned, which I like. Gathering together my references now.....

| Cheers Right, back on subject. The head was painted seperately up to a point, then attached to the mostly painted torso. Then I carried on painting details such as the goggles etc....... since taking the pics I've since given the armour the faintest wash/filter of Dark Angels green, abd commenced with the chipping and battle scarring. nearly there! | |

that's based on the markings the US put on their helmets during WW2, if I remember correctly, a vertical white bar was for NCOs and a horizontal one was for commisioned officers (although I might have that the wrong way round!). They were commonly known as "aiming stakes" for obvious reasons.....

| yup great work so far! Maybe the skin colour is a bit too close to the skin colour? But the goggles set the face apart anyways so it's not a big problem. | |

| There is a bit of a similarity in tones with the face; i'll try to add more life to the face! Here's a new montage (the other was supposed to be 300 px wide, not 200px. Hopefully this will come out as I hope: Very nearly there........ | |
